Handmade with love...

Brrrrrr, its cold this morning here in NC, beautiful! I love the cold weather. We even got snow here in NC about a week or two ago. Here is a picture of a week ago, this is how much we got! You can see how happy I was! ;)

Today I have quick little pattern to share with you guys....a friend's birthday was the next day and I had a days notice. As you can tell I didn't have time to go shopping so I thought a hat would be nice since it's been so cold around here lately!

Anyway, it isn't much different from a basic beanie hat. The only thing I did was make a textured look on the grey portion of the hat and a straight DC on the yellow part of the hat. The directions are below however if you don't want to make this hat, you are welcome to come by my Etsy shop where I have this one listed below.

You will need:
US J-10/ 6.0 mm hook
Yarn needle for weaving
Scissors
Yarn, worsted weight or other yarn of choice and any color combination of choice. I used "I Love this Yarn" in grey and "Caron Simply Solids" in yellow.

Gauge: For different sizes use a smaller hook for instance: I-9/5.5 mm for women/ teen, H-8/5.00 mm kids, and preteen, G-6/4 mm for a small child.

  • MR - Magic Ring
  • Sl St - Slip Stitch
